Leaderboard Ranking Overhaul, TP/SL Fixes, Stock Split Adjustments, & More – v2.3.1

edited by rich on Dec 16, 2024

The latest update doesn't introduce new features, but it brings significant improvements to existing ones, alongside critical bug fixes. One of the most important updates is the overhaul of the leaderboard ranking formula. We've reverted the previous change that penalized traders with a scoring reduction for having too many open losing trades. The new formula now factors in both closed and open trades, providing a more accurate ranking system. This change is vital because some users have avoided closing losing trades to maintain a high win rate. As the integrity of the platform is a top priority, this update helps prevent users from manipulating their ranking by leaving trades open. Since many traders rely on the global leaderboard to discover and follow top traders to copy, it's crucial that the leaderboard reflects a trader's true performance.

While the leaderboard has been updated, trader dashboards will still display performance stats based only on closed trades. However, we plan to update this in the near future by either incorporating open trades into the dashboard stats or adding separate metrics for open trades.

Another key improvement is the addition of support for .webp and .svg image formats. This new feature allows users to upload screengrabs with trade notes when submitting trades via Discord, enhancing the overall user experience.

We've also fixed critical bugs, including issues with TP/SL not triggering or triggering with a delay, as well as trades undergoing stock splits or reverse splits while open not automatically adjusting their prices.

Check out the full changelog below for more details on this update.

v2.3 Changelog

v2.3 Changelog

App & Web

Significant Update to Leaderboard Ranking Formula: The formula now factors in both closed and open trades for scoring calculations, with options exempt due to their natural expiration. Note that leaderboard stats may differ from those displayed on trader dashboards, as dashboards currently reflect performance based only on closed trades. This distinction is subject to change as we continue refining the platform to ensure accuracy and integrity. Previously, the formula only considered closed trades, enabling users to avoid closing losing positions and maintain a high win rate.

Fixed issue where Take Profit (TP) and Stop Loss (SL) were not triggering when hit. Still monitoring.

POV Charts on Trade Insights now include extended hours data.

Added support for .webp and .svg image formats, enabling screengrab uploads with trade notes when submitting trades in Discord. This support also extends to avatars and webhooks. (Note: The ability to paste screengrabs directly from the clipboard into trade notes for New Trade, Active Position, and Trade Insights is coming soon.)

Fixed bug preventing automatic adjustment for stock splits and reverse splits.

Corrected entry-exit value calculations for forex trades.

Fixed issue when loading more trades on the dashboard using the 'Opened' or 'Closed' filters. Filters now remain enabled when more trades are loaded.

Improved Active Positions UI: current market price now displayed on trade rows instead of entry price, along with current profit/loss percentage.

Fixed +REP functionality to show incrementation when clicked on Trade Insights. Also resolved issue where +REP was not correctly associated with the viewed trade.

Updated pip values for XAU & XAG tickers:

  • XAG: 0.01 = 1 pip
  • XAU (soon): 0.10 = 1 pip

Mobile Only

Fixed iOS bug causing random blank-page openings of Google Tag Manager.

Increased height of trade rows in Active Positions UI to accommodate all displayed data, with slight layout adjustments.
